Emily Lavalier- a collage artist from Minneapolis- works in a unique style of 'High-Density Collage' using cut paper to create works of art that seem to evolve as layers are added. This style of work brings scrapbooking, collage and illustration together into a textured and detailed finished product. High-Density collage is a style that anyone could try using glue and whatever recycled literature they might find. Along with found objects- this style of work requires a lot of time. Each original collage takes between 50 and 150 hours of work, with every inch of the work containing hidden touches of detail.
