Into the Woods

This original was completed in 2018 and was inspired by a hike in Costa Rica during the annual crab migration. It was a petrifying hike- SO MANY CRABS- but the original turned out beautifully.

Since this original incorporates a lot of green- in order to differentiate between the foliage and the grasses I used acrylic paint for the leaves. The effect turned out well and this original has been complimented for its peaceful composition. One customer purchased it for her office so she could imagine looking out a window and into some woods if she felt stressed!

This original was scanned and is reproduced by Terry at Artist’s Resource in Northeast, where his ever-improving technology is paving the way for textured reproductions. These high-color and detailed reproductions give a strong textured appearance even though they are printed flat.
